The halo here is scalloped rather than smooth: the diamonds are gathered into small arcs that bulge outward at intervals, giving the frame a petaled edge around the elongated cushion sapphire. Pave then continues down both shoulders in a straight line, so the outline moves from decorative at the head to plain along the band.
The sapphire runs 2.92 carats and is set north to south, its length filling the space between the knuckles. Yellow gold prongs and the gold carried under the halo warm the white pave from below. Diamonds total 0.24 carats. Ring size 7.
