An elongated cushion sapphire in a deep, saturated blue takes up nearly the whole head, its length running along the finger rather than across it. One close row of round diamonds follows that outline exactly, cushion corners included, and the mount is white gold throughout so nothing warms the color from the side.
Where the shank meets the head it stays narrow and plain, which exaggerates how much of the top surface belongs to the stone alone. The 2.88 carat sapphire accounts for the large majority of the 3.18 carat total, with 0.30 spread around it.
