An elongated cushion sapphire stands upright inside a halo of round diamonds set in white metal, and the pave carries on down each shoulder in a narrow line to about the midpoint of the yellow gold shank. The two colors of metal are used with intent: gold at the prongs and the band, white wherever a diamond sits.
Seen from the front the head is a rounded rectangle standing well clear of the finger, and the sapphire fills most of that outline on its own at 2.96 carats, with 0.42 distributed through the halo and the shoulder rows.
