A round blue sapphire of 2.78 carats sits in four slim claws, raised clear of the shank so light reaches it from the sides as well as the top. What distinguishes the ring is how the shoulders are handled: rather than tapering, the band steps up into two flat angular panels that meet the head squarely, and each panel carries a small block of diamonds set in rows.
The geometry is deliberate, squared off where most settings curve, and the 18K white gold holds everything in the same cool register as the stone. At size 7 the head stands noticeably proud of the finger; the sapphire is the whole event and the 0.22 carats of diamonds simply mark the approach to it.
