No halo on this one. The oval sapphire is set bare in yellow gold claws, and the diamonds are gathered instead into two triangular pave panels, one at each shoulder, pointing in toward the stone. The effect is directional: the shoulders throw light along the axis of the finger and the center is left to sit dark and uninterrupted between them.
The sapphire runs to 4.30 carats against 0.12 carats of diamond, which is a small accent share for a stone of this size and the reason the piece reads as color first. Yellow gold meets a deep navy oval with no white metal anywhere except the pave itself, and the shank stays plain and rounded through to the back at size 7 US.
