The oval here is drawn long rather than round, and the halo follows it: round diamonds sit in a scalloped frame that stretches with the stone, each held in its own milgrain edged collet, so the border reads as a row of small arches around the blue rather than a smooth ring.
Pave carries down both shoulders before the 18K white gold band runs plain to the base. The sapphire alone accounts for 4.35 of the 5.01 carats total, and the head fills the width of the finger at size 7 US, standing tall enough that the halo takes light from the side as well as from above.
