Six and a fifth carats of sapphire in one oval, dark navy with a broad flat table, held by four prongs set at the corners. The diamond work does not simply trace it: a paved ribbon sweeps around the stone and crosses over itself at each shoulder before continuing down the split band, so the outline reads as a twist rather than a closed circle.
Thirty points of diamond against 6.20 carats of sapphire is a deliberate ratio, the small stones placed to catch light at the border of a gem dark enough to swallow most of what falls on it. The face spans a good part of the width of the finger, and the split shank keeps that mass from looking heavy underneath. Size 7 US, with custom sizing available upon request.
