All Gemstones are Natural in Origin
Both sapphires are ovals of deep navy blue, each one held in a four prong basket that lifts the stone clear of the post so the girdle stays visible from the side. The color is not flat: lighter bands run through the crown of each stone and move as they catch light, which is what keeps a blue this dark from reading as a solid spot at the ear. At 6 by 5 millimeters they cover the lobe neatly and stop there.
The prongs are the only metal in view, kept small and rounded so nothing competes with the stone. At conversational distance these read as color rather than sparkle, sitting still against the lobe with no drop and no swing.
