All Gemstones are Natural in Origin
Each stud is one step cut rectangle of sapphire, dark teal blue with the long broad facets of that cut running as parallel bars across the table. The stones stand on end so the length runs up the lobe, and four fine yellow gold prongs take the corners while the rest of the mount stays out of sight behind.
They measure 6 by 4 mm apiece and account for 0.78 carats of sapphire for the pair, which puts them right at the lobe with no drop or movement. 14K yellow gold throughout, worn tight to the ear so the rectangle is what registers rather than the metal.
