Each ear carries one oval blue sapphire and nothing else: four slim white gold prongs, a low basket, no halo and no accent stones anywhere in the mounting. The stones are dark enough that they read as deep navy points against the lobe at conversational distance and only open into blue when the light comes in at an angle.
The pair totals 0.94 carats across 7 by 5 millimeters, which is a true oval outline rather than a rounded square. White gold is the quiet choice for a stone this saturated; it keeps the tone cold and does not push warmth into the blue the way a yellow mount would. The prongs sit tight to the girdle so almost the whole face of each stone is visible from the front.
