These are pear cut sapphires rather than rounds, each stone held by one prong at the point and two at the wide base so the teardrop outline stays clear. The blue runs very dark through the middle and opens to a lighter band across the shoulder of each stone where the facets turn toward the light.
At eight by five millimeters they sit flat to the lobe and register as a shape at conversation distance, not simply a point of color. White gold keeps the claws nearly invisible against that depth of blue.
