All Gemstones are Natural in Origin
The teardrop shape appears twice in each earring, and just one of the two carries diamonds. At the top, a pear shaped plaque outlined in yellow gold is pave set with small round diamonds across its whole face, point down. Beneath it, on a plain gold ring link, hangs the sapphire, a much larger pear set point up with a gold bead at the tip and two more cradling the round of the stone.
That leaves the sapphire completely open, no outline and no accent stones on it, so the dark blue reads as one solid mass against the bright pave above. Eighteen millimeters overall and seven across, short enough to sit just under the lobe.
