Each earring is built from two three petal fans of pear cut blue topaz, one opening upward and one downward, their points meeting at the waist. Behind and between them a ribbon of white topaz pave loops through in a figure eight and carries on out to a scalloped outer edge, so the white outlines the blue instead of merely bordering it.
The blue is a clear mid sky tone that stays cool against the rhodium plating, and the pear cuts throw light out along their length while the small white stones keep a fine steady sparkle underneath. At 22 by 18 millimeters they cover the lobe without hanging below it.
