The drop is a long open navette: an outer marquise frame traced in pavé black spinel, a second marquise outline set within it, and a vertical file of round blue topaz running down the middle of the opening. A smaller marquise of the same construction sits at the lobe above, carrying a single topaz at its center and connected by a short link so the lower frame swings free.
The spinel does the drawing, holding every edge as a dark line while the topaz supplies the light inside the frames. At 62 by 21 millimeters these hang well below the lobe and register in silhouette first, the openwork letting hair and skin show through the middle.
