An oval blue topaz sits at the center of each earring inside a full ring of marquise cut peridots, the petals angled outward so the head reads as an open flower. Cool blue against yellow green is the entire idea, and the peridot frame is broad enough that neither color takes over. A hinged lever back carries the cluster and keeps it upright at the lobe.
The flower measures 15 millimeters across on a 37 millimeter drop, so it swings clear of the ear rather than resting against it. Blue topaz accounts for 3.98 carats and peridot for 4.10, which means the frame slightly outweighs the stone it surrounds.
