Three emerald cut blue topaz run along the front arc of each hoop, every stone held in a fine milgrain frame, with pairs of small round white topaz stacked between them so the blue is interrupted by light rather than left as a solid band. The back half of each hoop is plain polished metal, which keeps the profile open and the line clean against the lobe.
Gold plated sterling silver warms the cool sky blue of the topaz in a way a white metal would not. At 25 by 6 millimeters the hoops sit tight to the ear and read as color first, sparkle second.
