All Gemstones are Natural in Origin
A puffed heart pavé set edge to edge with black spinel, 2.06 carats in total across a field of small round stones that curve with the dome of the piece and give it an almost textile surface. Three pear cut blue topaz sit on that field, each in its own polished silver bezel, angled so their points radiate outward rather than lining up.
Together the topaz accounts for 1.42 carats. Those three bright bezels against the dark ground are what make the piece work; without them it would read as a solid black heart. It measures 25 by 22 mm and hangs from a shaped sterling silver bail.
