An emerald cut center stone sits inside its own pave outlined rectangle, and eight pear cut stones open out around it as petals, each petal drawn with a pave line of its own. The result is a wide floral head with openwork between the petals, so light passes through the gallery as well as off the surface. Both blues are pale and close in tone, the step cut center reading in flat planes while the brilliant cut petals return sharper flashes.
Blue topaz accounts for 4.84 carats and aquamarine for 2.04, with a full 1.20 carats of diamonds tracing every edge. In sterling silver the whole composition stays cool and bright, and at size 7.75 it covers the finger the way a cocktail ring should.
