A cushion cut blue topaz sits high in four prongs, and the interest below it is in the metalwork. Both shoulders are pierced with scrolling openwork and edged with fine milgrain beading along their outer rails, so the sides of the ring are as worked as the top.
A single small diamond is set into each shoulder where it meets the head, one bright point on either side of the blue. The topaz runs a clear mid blue, the cushion cut throwing broad flashes across its face rather than fine ones. Sized 7 US.
