Cushion cut and square at 9.2 millimeters each way, the two topazes read as clean blocks of pale blue at the lobe, rounded corners softening what would otherwise be a hard outline. The facets are cut large and few, which suits a stone this size: light comes back in broad panels instead of the fine glitter of a smaller brilliant.
Slim white claws take each corner and all but disappear against the setting. 6.80 carats across a pair is substantial for a stud, and at just over nine millimeters they cover the lobe without overhanging it.
