This butterfly ring pairs eight violet-blue tanzanites with ten Swiss blue topazes, so the wings shift from a deep purple-blue to a brighter, clearer blue. The two stones give the insect its shading and a sense of motion across the hand. Set in rhodium plated silver, it is a figural piece with real color, and it will not be made again.
