Deep green is the point of this one: an oval chrome diopside, darker at the ends and brighter through the middle, held by four yellow claws in an open gallery. Crescents of small round white topaz curve around the stone on both sides, two rows deep, so the green sits inside a bright white surround with warm metal showing only at the claws and the framework.
The shank splits below each crescent, and in the gap sits a single baguette topaz in a yellow frame with pave rails of round topaz running above and below it. At arm's length the ring reads as three bands of color, green through the middle, white to either side, gold along the edges. Total weight is 2.74 carats.
