A single oval citrine lies at the middle of each flower with pear cut citrines set point inward all around it, petal fashion. A polished silver bead sits at every junction to hold the stones, so the edge of the cluster is scalloped and the metal reads as bright dots rather than as a frame.
The outline comes out round, 15 by 13 millimeters, and covers most of the lobe. All 4.02 carats stay in one color family, a warm golden yellow, and because the petals are pitched at slightly different angles the face throws light back from more than one direction at a time.
