Three citrines hang in graduated succession on each ear: a round at the lobe, a smaller round beneath it, then a pear cut nearly twice their size swinging at the end, point up. The two rounds sit in fine beaded frames of white metal, while the pear carries a proper halo of small round white topaz packed tight around its whole outline. The result is a drop that narrows in the middle and opens out again, so the honey yellow is heaviest exactly where the earring moves most.
Rhodium plated sterling silver keeps every frame cool against the citrine, which is what stops the yellow going soft. At 30 by 12 millimeters the pair reaches roughly to the jaw and articulates at each link.
