All Gemstones are Natural in Origin
This is a butterfly rather than one big stone. The wings are set with small golden citrines, pears and rounds graded to the shape of each wing, and an openwork silver edge draws the wing outline and the body between them. Roughly two dozen stones make up the pair of wings, all of them the same warm honey yellow, so the color holds steady while the cuts change. At 30 by 29 millimeters the pendant is close to square in footprint and fills the hollow of the throat.
Sterling silver keeps the surround white and lets the yellow stay clean instead of going muddy. From across a room the piece registers as a shape first and as stones second, which is what a figural pendant is for.
