The pear cut citrine is rub over set, its whole girdle enclosed by a bezel rather than gripped by claws, and that bezel is finished with a beaded edge and framed by a second beaded border that echoes the teardrop outline out to the shoulders. The mount holds the stone flush, so nothing stands proud of the finger.
Color deepens toward the point, going from a light gold at the shoulder to a full amber at the tip, and the step of the pear pavilion breaks the interior into strong dark and bright wedges. The shank is flat and plain where it meets the head, which lets the beadwork do all the detail at 6 US.
