The citrine reads as a saturated marigold orange, cut as a round brilliant and held between two broad half bezels of 14K yellow gold. The bezels take the stone at either side and leave the girdle open above and below, so light reaches the pavilion and the center of the stone stays bright rather than flat.
Each shoulder carries two parallel rows of small bead set diamonds, stepped one above the other inside raised gold rails, before the band drops away into a plain rounded shank. Stone and metal share the same warm family of color, which leaves the diamonds to supply the contrast. Sized 7 US.
