The ram of Aries is modeled in relief inside an open circle, horns curled back over the shoulder and the body turned in profile, so the empty space around the figure does the framing instead of a solid disc. The surface is worked in gold plated sterling silver and lightly textured along the fleece, which catches the light differently from the polished ring that surrounds it.
A single round diamond is bezel set into the bail directly above the circle, a small bright point that separates the pendant from the chain. At 45 by 31 millimeters it reads clearly as the sign at conversational distance while the cut out center keeps the weight down at the neck.
