Each drop is a long oval plate, darkened right through the metal and paved across its whole face with small round diamonds, with an open oval window cut through the upper half so the shape reads as a ring above and a solid tongue below. Against that dark ground the massed stones register as a continuous grain of light instead of separate sparks.
41 by 10 millimeters, no wider than a fingertip, hung from slim darkened ear wires. 1.32 carats of diamond across the pair, all of it in small stones, which is what lets the length read as one unbroken line.
