Each earring is a broad teardrop plate with a second teardrop cut open through the top of it, and the whole of the remaining face is pavé set with small round diamonds laid in tight rows that follow the curve of the outline. The silver is darkened, close to gunmetal, so the stones sit as separate points of light on a dark ground rather than merging into one bright sheet of metal.
The drops hang from slim shepherd hook wires with one small diamond above each. At 42 by 23 millimeters this is a wide earring and the face is stone from edge to edge, so what carries across a room is a single field of scattered light.
