The diamonds on this cushion shaped head are laid in diagonal rows rather than square ones, so the pave runs across the plaque at an angle and catches light in stripes when the hand turns. Two small triangular fields of pave sit at the shoulders, and the 0.22 carats covers all of them. The head is pale metal in a stepped frame, the shank is slim and gold plated, and the ring works on that contrast between a broad cool top and a narrow warm band.
