Twenty-six round emeralds run channel set through the full circumference of this band, seated between two plain yellow gold rails that stand just proud of the stones and keep the line unbroken. Open windows cut into the inside of the shank show the row carrying all the way around, so the green reads the same from every angle on the hand.
The band is squared off in profile rather than domed, which turns the row into a flat architectural run of color instead of a scatter of separate points. At 1.43 carats spread across twenty-six stones no single emerald dominates, and the gold rails above and below hold the green in a tight line at size 8.
