Two columns of round emerald cabochons run side by side down the length of each hoop, packed close and held on small shared silver beads that show as bright points between them. The emeralds are opaque and matte rather than transparent, a mossy green that absorbs light instead of returning it, so all of the glitter in these comes from the metal.
The hoop is long and narrow rather than round, 20 x 7 mm, and hangs from a hook fitting so it moves with the head. 2.38 carats across the pair.
