All Gemstones are Natural in Origin
The emeralds here are cabochons, domed and unfaceted, and they run in a single column down the outer face of each hoop. Cut this way the stone shows its colour as one flat block, an opaque blue leaning green quite unlike the flashing a faceted emerald returns.
A rail of very small round diamonds runs along both edges of that column, bead set into silver, so each hoop reads as a broad green stripe with a bright line down either side. The inside of the hoop is left plain and polished. At 32 x 9 mm they sit wide against the lobe and hold their shape at a distance.
