A large oval emerald of 4.68 carats fills the head of this ring, claw set at four points and sitting well proud of the band. Around it runs a bright bead worked border in white metal, set with diamond accents totalling 0.02 carats, which draws a sharp line between the soft green of the emerald and the wide polished sterling silver shoulders.
Those shoulders are broad and taper quickly, so the ring carries a substantial oval on the finger without a heavy shank behind it. At nearly five carats the stone reads as the whole piece. Ring size 9 US.
