An oval opal cabochon crowns the flower, domed and pale, giving back a soft even light with faint pastel flashes across the surface rather than sharp points. The sapphire petals radiate around it in blue, green, yellow, orange and pink, each an oval in its own claws, with small white stones tucked into the joints between them.
From the side the head stands high on a pierced gallery of silver arcs, while the shank stays plain and narrow so every bit of color is held at the top of the finger.
