Eleven amethysts to an ear, laid into an oval flowerhead: one oval stone standing upright at the middle, four pear cuts pressed in around it, and six more fanned along the rim. The color runs the opposite way from what the shape suggests, the center stone palest and most lavender, the outer ring deepest and closest to grape.
18K yellow gold plated sterling silver shows between every stone as heavy claw prongs and rounded beads, so the gold reads almost as a second material rather than a backing. At 16 by 13 millimeters each flower covers the lobe and sits flat against it on a post.
