Three oval garnets to an earring, each in a plain rub over bezel, spaced along a fine sterling silver chain: one at the lobe, one at the midpoint, one at the end of the drop. The gaps do as much work as the stones. Each station hangs on its own length of chain and moves independently, so the red travels down the line instead of sitting in one block.
The three ovals are matched in size, which keeps the drop balanced rather than bottom heavy, and at 47 by 6 millimeters the whole earring is a long narrow line. Six stones across the pair come to 2.68 carats.
