Oval garnets fill these hoops on both faces, outer and inner, so the red carries around the whole circle and shows whether the ear is seen from the front or from behind. Each stone sits in its own claws with small beads between, and warm yellow toned metal is all that separates one from the next.
The color is dark and turns slightly brown at the edges, closer to port than to the pink end of red, and against that warm metal it stays deep rather than bright. At 30 millimeters the hoops draw a clear circle at the lobe while a 4 millimeter width keeps them light, with 5.98 carats spread across the run.
