The four prongs holding this oval garnet are each capped with a small black diamond, so the points that would normally read as plain metal become dark studs against the red. It is a small decision and it does most of the work on the ring.
Below the stone a bright frame curves around the lower half of the head, set with very small white diamonds, and the shoulders split in two as they run back to the shank. The garnet is a deep brick red, darkening almost to black around the girdle and clearing through the centre where light passes through. Sized 6 US.
