All Gemstones are Natural in Origin
The topaz is one oval and it is set east to west, lying across the finger rather than along it, which is what makes six carats look as wide as it does on the hand. Four claws take it at the compass points and nothing else touches the stone; the long top and bottom edges of the oval are left completely open to the metal beneath.
The amethysts do not go around it. They sit in two groups of three, one on each shoulder, a larger round leading with two smaller ones tucked behind where the shoulder meets the head. Purple beside that inky teal blue is a close relationship rather than a contrast, both stones dark and saturated, and the rhodium plated silver running between them is the only bright element in the design. At size 8 the oval spans very nearly the full width of the finger.
