The marquise is set upright, points north and south, so the pendant reads long and narrow rather than round. A halo of thirty four small round diamonds follows that outline exactly and tightens into each point, and the pale blue of the aquamarine sits brighter for having a ring of white immediately around it.
White gold keeps the whole piece cool in tone, with a plain tapered bail above the halo and nothing else competing for attention. Twenty seven millimeters top to bottom, it lands just below the hollow of the throat and stays legible at conversational distance.
