All Gemstones are Natural in Origin
Three vertical panels divide the face of this ring, one for each color of tourmaline. Olive green ovals fill the left panel, pink and red stones the center where they are grouped as four petal flowers around white topaz, and orange the right. Everything is set to lie flat, so the whole face reads as one wide plaque across the finger rather than a raised head.
Black spinel does the drawing. It runs as narrow lines between the panels, around the outer border and along the curved openwork gallery, giving every block of color its own dark outline. Against rhodium plated silver the result is graphic and deliberate, and with 24 colored stones plus the topaz accents the ring covers a wide span of finger.
