All Gemstones are Natural in Origin
Five oval cabochons run down each ear in a straight articulated line: lapis in dense royal blue at the top, then carnelian orange, chrysoprase green, pink opal, and a pale aqua amazonite at the tip. Each sits in four slim claws, and between them small faceted white topaz are grouped into little marquise and round clusters that double as the links. The domed cabochon tops return one soft sweep of light while the topaz break it into points, so the drop alternates matte color and sparkle the whole way down.
Four and a half carats of stone are spread across ten cabochons rather than gathered into a single center, which is why the sequence of colors reads so clearly from a distance. The rhodium plated sterling silver is kept narrow and bright between the stones, and the articulation lets the whole length swing from the post.
