The oval amethyst holds deep purple through the middle and lifts to lilac where the facets turn, four prongs across a face of a little over three carats. Three round white topaz step down each shoulder, graduated so the largest sits nearest the center stone and the smallest meets the band.
Gold plated sterling silver carries the same warmth up a narrow, plain shank, which leaves the detail at the shoulders and keeps the rest of the ring quiet. In a size 7 the oval covers a good part of the finger without standing far off it.
