Twenty oval amethysts lie east to west around the wrist in slim yellow gold plated baskets, one linked straight to the next so the line has no visible spacer bars. The purple varies stone to stone from a pale lilac to a deeper grape, and the warm gold tone underneath pushes all of it toward red rather than blue.
The closure is a smooth cylindrical magnetic barrel rather than a box catch, so the bracelet joins with a pull and sits with no hardware standing above the line of stones. Seven inches keeps it close to the wrist.
