Round brilliant sapphires, one to each ear, held in a four claw white gold basket and given nothing else to compete with. The blue is very dark, close to midnight, and the brilliant cut keeps returning small points of lighter blue from the crown where the stone would otherwise read almost black.
Six millimeters across, so they sit contained and close on the lobe.
