Blue sapphire and white topaz alternate one for one the whole way around each hoop, every stone held in its own bar setting with a short band of polished silver standing between neighbors. The stones continue on the inner face as well as the outer, so the circle reads as set from whichever side is turned to the room.
The sapphires sit dark, close to navy, and the topaz lifts the line each time it comes round. At 39 millimeters across and 4 wide the hoop stays narrow, which keeps 4.34 carats from reading as bulk, and it closes on a hinged wire at the top.
