The drop builds in three stages: a long slim gold ear wire, one round white diamond set as the link below it, then an open teardrop of gold whose two upper arms are lined with small round diamonds. An oval emerald is prong set inside that teardrop, sitting low so the metal curves around and under it.
Green against 14K yellow gold is the whole point of the pairing here, and the diamond work is deliberately partial, running down the shoulders and stopping rather than closing into a full ring. At 22 by 8 millimeters the pair hangs long and narrow.
