Each earring centers a trillion cut emerald with softly rounded sides, held inside a pavé diamond frame that does not simply encircle it: three arcs overlap around the stone, one to a corner, so the outline reads as a knot rather than a halo. The gaps where the arcs cross leave the green visible at the edges as well as the face.
Against 14K white gold the color stays cool and sits high on the lobe. At 11 by 11 millimeters the pair is compact, and the curved frame keeps the shape legible from across a room, where a plain round halo of this size would simply read as a dot of light.
